I don’t know what happened, but I blinked and everyone got old as all get out.
My eldest daughter turned 27 today. TWENTY-FREAKING-SEVEN. I can’t even. Don’t be surprised if there is radio silence on December 29th… my youngest will be 21. I don’t know what the hell happened. Blinking is clearly dangerous.
Technically speaking, I’m writing this post on September 9th because I took yesterday off. I’ll likely spend the day beating myself up about trying not to beat myself up about missing a post. Yes, I know… I’m ridiculous.
Taking the day off was actually a good thing with all of the emotional nonsense brewing. I tried about a new post style on Thursday, but it’s clear in retrospect that it won’t work for these purposes. All of the items I write down in regard to the curated events are deeply personal. I will have to figure out something else.
I love creating and posting my cards, so maybe we’ll gear more toward decoration or what we’re creating in our Card Files.
As of Saturday night, Brian will be on vacation. I will likely be all over the place on these posts as I find my way. As I introduce my cards to the family, they will give me new viewpoints and perhaps we can create a vision for the posts together.
Today’s Topic: Your Ideal Evening
My first post discussed an ideal morning routine. I believe that if you create balance between a morning and an evening routine, life will really create some magic sparks.
A morning routine is to set up the rest of the day for success.
An evening routine is to replenish and rejuvenate you for the challenges of tomorrow.
Considerations
- What steps do you need to take to transition to evening and wrap up/close out the day?
- Would you consider your bedroom a haven or safe space where you can rest?
- What things do you find relaxing?
- What cleanses the negativity that accumulated throughout the day?
- Would you prefer to spend your time alone, with family, or as a date night?
- How can you utilize this time to set up tomorrow for success?
Penny For Your Thoughts?
Good routines are born from good intentions. You will never find clear answers until you create the space and intention for your time blocks (that includes the space you will occupy.)
